THIMUN
This year, twenty-one students from AIS participated in The Hague International Model United Nations Conference (THIMUN). THIMUN is the largest international MUN conference with 3,500 students attending from over 100 countries. This year AIS represented the delegations of Bolivia and UN Women. The students spent 6 days taking on the role of diplomats investigating international issues and debating to develop solutions to world problems. The students also visited the NEMO Science Museum, the Sea Life Aquarium, the M.C. Escher Museum, and Humanity House where they got to experience what it is like to be a refugee. They were also able to see the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, and Europol Headquarters. The students did an amazing job debating, and many of them were able to get their clauses included in the passed resolutions.
